Handmade percussion instrument which was very popular in the United States at the beginning of the last century.
The washboard is a fun and versatile percussion instrument that is played using thimbles on the fingers of both hands. It is a source of differents color sounds with which you can perform any rhythm.

It has 18 notes on a chromatic scale (one note for each ball).
It is a very versatile instrument that allows you to make scales, regulate sound intensity, perform chords and vibrato

DESCRIPTION
The musician kneeling inside the instrument is pulling different ropes while receiving the sound of the bells over his head. I built it in cedar and bronze tubes. It has a complex mechanism of pulleys and ropes that pass under the musician. The head that holds the hammers together forms the design of a chalice shape.

DESCRIPTION
The color timbre is similar to that of a bass clarinet. It allows to make scales, vibrato and vary the intensity of each note.
The musician in front of the instrument presses the pistons and plays each of the notes.

It is a great sound sculpture 7 meters high
Hoses emerge from the 4-meter diameter base plate. The public or musicians blow or press button to emit the different notes of the instrument
The first ring generates 12 lower notes and the second ring 24 higher notes
The audience randomly mixes the sounds generating a sound magma on which the choir is mounted
They can sit on cushions and feel with the palm of the hand the vibration that occurs on the surface of the disc
